"It's in the process and it's going to be even better, because we are looking for opportunities how to do it easier and smoothly and hopefully we can do it soon. Right now we have direct flights with El-Al the Israeli airline and Hainan the Chinese airline. We feel that for this year we are going to continue increasing the number by more than 50 percent. The Chinese have discovered Israel and that's good news."

Latest stats do already show a significant increase in Chinese tourists visiting Israel.

May saw a jump of nearly 70-percent compared to the year before.

Chinese travellers heading to Israel next month had best book tickets to Akko quickly, as Motzart's "Abduction from the Seraglio" will only be staged from July 28th to the 30th.
