Controls for games opening ceremony rehearsal

The final rehearsal for the Shenzhen Universiade opening ceremony will be held on August 10 and unauthorized vehicles will be restricted in the core area of the opening ceremony venue, according to the Shenzhen traffic police department, the Shenzhen Daily reported on Wednesday.

The restricted areas will include Shenzhen Bay area and neighboring Shahe West Road, Dongbin Road, Central Road and Binhai Boulevard. Vehicles and persons taking part in the rehearsal must present appropriate certificates at security checks.

Transport information will be timely broadcasted via radio and published on www.szicity.com. A hotline (0755-83162933 or 84469111) will also be open to provide information for the convenience of the public.

Members of the public wanting to watch the rehearsal are advised to take the Metro or buses as parking space will be limited. In addition, they should choose appropriate security checking stations for shorter queuing times.
