Men's basketball team aims high at Universiade

The Chinese men's basketball team is hosting in the Shenzhen Universiade, and eyes a breakthrough. It will be held from Aug. 12 to 23.

The host team will compete for top two spots against the teams of the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Romania, Brazil and the Czech Republic in group A in order to get into the knockout round.

The Chinese team consists of 20 players who are selected from elite teams in CUBS (China University Basketball Super League), CUBA (China University Basketball Association) and CBA (Chinese Basketball Association), and coached by Liu Weihao, a basketball coach from the team of Guangdong University of Technology.
