More and more leading AI companies such as Baidu, Tencent, and Huawei have established operations in Siming district, driving industrial growth. The district now hosts over 300 enterprises across the AI industry chain.

With various empowerment centers serving as key pillars, Siming district boasts representative enterprises in the foundational, technological, and application layers, with leading firms like Kaopuyun.com and Meitu Inc playing a pivotal role in driving the industry forward.

For Siming district, AI is not just a technology confined to laboratories, but a tangible force transforming daily life. AI has progressively enhanced fields such as education and training, urban governance, and healthcare, highlighting the district's strengths in applied AI technologies. 

Additionally, Siming district has unveiled its first batch of 45 open application scenarios, inviting AI enterprises to contribute their solutions.

Economic rise to model development

Driven by pillar industries such as technology, Siming district achieved a GDP of nearly 300 billion yuan ($41.8 billion) in 2024, marking a 5.5 percent year-on-year growth. Its fiscal revenue exceeded 40 billion yuan, maintaining its position as the top-ranked county, city or district in Fujian for the ninth year in a row.
