The Fujian Xiamen Taiwan Week event commenced on Zhongshan Road in Siming district, Xiamen, on June 13, coinciding with both the 17th Straits Forum and the centennial celebration of Zhongshan Road.

This cross-Strait cultural and tourism extravaganza offers a diverse array of activities, including themed exhibition booths, interactive displays of folk culture, and recreations of classic Taiwan night market snacks, all designed to actively engage compatriots from both sides of the Strait. These immersive experiences and interactions serve to deepen mutual understanding of each other's cultures and ways of life.

Leveraging the centennial celebration of Zhongshan Road, the event has capitalized on the distinctive advantages of its characteristic arcade architecture, core commercial landmarks, and shared cross-Strait historical significance.

By creating themed commercial blocks and organizing street performances, the event serves as a comprehensive new platform for exchange that integrates cultural exhibitions, commercial experiences, and tourism activities.

The event will run through June 19, featuring not only diverse activities such as Taiwan business exhibitions and food markets, but also cultural displays under the theme "cross-Strait kinship" and live demonstrations of intangible cultural heritage. These offerings allow residents and visitors alike to immerse themselves in Taiwan's vibrant culture while enjoying the golden melodies of Fujian and Taiwan.
