As a century-old commercial street, Zhongshan Road serves as a historical and cultural landmark in Xiamen. The Foreign Affairs Office of the Xiamen Municipal People's Government organized the "Xiamen Now" international experience event on Zhongshan Road on April 19. Representatives from 16 foreigners from eight countries including France, Mexico, and Indonesia participated in the event.

The international experience officials strolled along Zhongshan Road, visited the "Amoy's Memory" exhibition hall, explored the historical changes and cultural heritage, and experienced the unique charm of this century-old street.

They also enthusiastically took part in the "Global Sharing of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Wisdom" series of events occuring on Zhongshan Road. Local and foreign visitors practiced the eight-section brocade together, experiencing the allure of traditional health culture while promoting physical fitness.

At the event, the international experience officials not only experienced TCM treatments such as tuina (medical massage) and guasha (scraping) but also tasted TCM cuisine. They marveled at the wonders of meridian therapy and external treatment combined with internal adjustment, appreciating the Eastern wisdom of preventing illness before it occurs and the concept of food and medicine sharing the same origin.

Foreign friends actively engaged and expressed their admiration for the profoundity of TCM culture, and voluntarily shared their experiences and insights through various media platforms. Randy, a composer from the United States remarked, "Xiamen seamlessly integrates traditional culture with modern life, and this multicultural exchange serves as a source of inspiration for my compositions."
