As the weather warms up, it is an ideal opportunity to go outdoors and enjoy the natural and historical scenery on offer in Xi’an, Shaanxi province. With a camera in tow, there is no better time and way to capture the beautiful landscapes and sense of spring in the city.
Gao Court was the residence of Gao Yuesong, a high officer of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was bestowed from the then-emperor Chongzhen as a gift for Gao’s outstanding performance in the imperial examination.
Located at the center of Xi’an city in Shaanxi province, the court neighbors the Islamic Street – a shopping street famous for Xi’an specialties. On a ground space of 2800 square meters, the court has 86 rooms, 56 of which are open to the public.
