Volunteers from the Golden Belt Children’s Center in Xi’an city, Shaanxi province, helped bring a smile to children suffering from leukemia by teaching them how to paint. The painting took place in the city’s Children’s Hospital on Feb 7, according to xinhuanet.com.cn.
The center members and volunteers are comprised of doctors, volunteers and parents of children with leukemia. Volunteers brought painting boards and pencils for the children to paint with. They plan to visit the children monthly with a different activity, hoping to bring them a renewed ray of happiness and break up their intensive daily treatment.
