Guangren Temple in the city of Xi’an, Shaanxi province, gave out free Laba porridge on the morning of Jan 27, to celebrate the Laba Festival, sxdaily.com.cn reported.
Laba is a traditional Chinese holiday on the eighth day of the twelfth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, when people usually eat Laba porridge to pray for health, safety and good luck.
The porridge is mainly made from rice, beans, dried fruit, tofu, potato, meat and vegetables.
