The Third Qingdao Beer Festival, with a rooster called Qing Qing as its mascot, took place in Huiquan Plaza from Aug 15 to 22, 1993. It attracted nearly 30 renowned breweries from more than 10 countries, including the US’s Budweiser, Japan’s Kirin and Singapore’s Tiger. The event also featured a spectacular performance named The Oriental Jade and a campfire and starlight gala.
