1. Project Introduction

Red tourism, also called revolution-era tourism, Red tourism, also called revolution-era tourism, is gaining popularity in China as the government pumps money into developing sites related to the Chinese revolution and seeks cooperation with Russia.

Located at the entrance of Mount Culai national forest park, the project is committed to the establishment of a comprehensive revolution-era cultural industry park for publicity, commemoration of the revolution history, patriotism education, business reception, tourism cultural services and leisure and entertainment.

2. Project Content and the Scale of Construction

With a planned area of 0.8 square kilom.eters based on Mount Culai, relics of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression(1937-1945), the project is to reconstruct certain relics, build a newCulai Revolution memorial hall, “Mount Tai spirit" art mountain park and business base facilities.

The project will restore certain headquarters during the war of resistance, in a bid to provide unique experiences ,including 4D movies, red camping sites, and shooting experience.

3.Project Conditions

Daiyue district of Tai'an is the place of the first shot fired for the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, with crucial education significance. On this basis, the project is committed to the establishment of a comprehensive revolution-era cultural industry park for publicity, commemoration of the revolution history, patriotism education, business reception, tourism cultural services and leisure and entertainment.

The memorial at Mount Culai is listed as a patriotism education base of Shandong province; the Sichan Temple built more than 1400 years ago, is named as provincial key cultural relics protection unit; both are scenic spots tourists won't miss.

Shandong province tourism bureau issued the province's strategy to develop tourism in 2016, and pointed out the importance of development of revolution-era tourism, encouraged the construction of bases for this tourism; local authorities will also give preferential policies in land and captials.

With current planning, the total Investment of the project is 0.4 billionyuan ($57.97 million).

5. Market Analysis and Economic effectiveness Forecast

Revolution-era tourism is booming in recent years, the number of tourists and comprehensive income of tourism continue to increase substantially; the comprehensive income of revolution-era in 2014 and 2015 increased by 19% and 19% respectively, and the figure is expected to r to increase in stable rapid growth.

With China's growing influence in international community, international tourists gradually have interest in China’s revolution-eraculture, with increasing proportion of inbound tourists for this tourism; cooperation with Russia in revolution-era travel also help open the international market.

Consumers' pursuit of tourism elements are upgrading, including catering, entertainment and shopping, the diversified consumption in revolution-era tourist attractions also become the sources of profitable rewards.
