The Sino-German Ecopark, the first Chinese-German industrial park based in the coastal city of Qingdao, East China's Shandong province, participated in the 117th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province from May 1 to 5, the Qingdao Daily reported.

As the exclusive agent for the European exhibition area of the Fair, the Sino-German Ecopark attended the biannual event with 26 German enterprises, showcasing more than 100 kinds of mother and baby products, food, wine and daily necessities from Germany.

During the course of the Fair, the Ecopark signed letters of intents with Goldensun International Trading Co and German Rossmann Company.

The Sino-German Ecopark is the first industrial park founded by the Chinese and German governments. The park’s planning and industrial development is handled by a task group formed by Chinese Commerce Ministry and German Economic Affairs and Energy Ministry. Enterprises in the park mainly specialize in energy-saving, environmental-protection technology, eco-friendly building research and construction, and sustainable development.

China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, takes place in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, biannually since its inception in 1957. It has become a major business event for foreign trade companies from both China and abroad.
