The Qingdao Federation of Literary and Art Circles started its volunteer service activity for 2015, bringing together more than 70 volunteers to perform a cultural performance for the Dingjiahe Community of Changjiang Middle road in the West Coast New Area of the Qingdao city, Shandong province, on Feb 3.

The volunteers displayed various performances, featuring solo, magic show, Shandong clapper ballad and Peking opera for the locals. The organizers also gave out literal books to the residents.

In 2015, the literary federation plans to recruit more than 3,000 volunteers to organize teaching activities, cultural exchanges and art performances in enterprises, schools, communities and rural areas, which is expected to enrich cultural life for the grass-roots.
