Thanks to the dama's efforts, a public beneficiary activity promoting family photos, was launched in Qingdao on January 18.

Deng Fei, one of initiators of the activity and a renowned micro-blogger interested in charity, said many Chinese spend more time on their outside world but leave little time to their family members.

He appealed to everyone to devote more time to family members.

Another initiator Leo Austin, a British businessman who operates the famous Jinliufu Spirits Company, hoped that the activity could bring back the forgotten family photo to Chinese people.

"More importantly, Chinese people should raise awareness that more care should be given to family members and that the traditional culture of reunion should be spread," said Leo.

Olympic gold winners Zhang Juanjuan and Wang Hao also joined the activity. The two champions both agreed the importance of family photos, saying they would take a photo with family members this year.
