Qingdao port set to open three new shipping routes to Japan and South Korea next year

China (Qingdao) International Cruise Summit & Investment Promotion Fair 2013 was held from Nov 4 to 5, and participants at the event said that HNA Cruise signed cooperation contracts with several travel agencies in Qingdao, and three new shipping routes to Japan and South Korea will be opened in Qingdao next year.

Qingdao Port (Group) Co., Ltd signed cooperation contracts at the fair with Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC) and also with international ports.

The summit was hosted by China Ports and Harbors Association, and senior executives from abroad and executives of Shanghai Wusongkou Cruise Ship Terminal and the International Passenger Transport Center of Shanghai Port discussed issues such as the development of the port industry, shipping routes, services, port construction and operation and cruise personnel training. The senior executives from abroad were mainly representatives of Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC) – in addition to other international companies.
