The Tianyige Museum in the city of Ningbo, Zhejiang province, is holding a traditional Chinese painting exhibition from Feb 14 to March 1, according to the Chinese-language Ningbo Daily.

The painting exhibition brought together more than 50 artworks created by Li Caijiao, professor of art at Ningbo University. It is the first time she holds a solo exhibition in Ningbo. Her artworks featuring flower, vegetables and birds illustrate the integration between traditional art spirit and modern art form.

Li got her master's degree at the Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 2001 and studied overseas for many years, including in Japan, France, Germany, Italy, Holland and Austria.

Tianyige, the most ancient private library in China has survived for hundreds of years and is full of history, unique architectural design, and particularly valuable collections of ancient books and texts of past dynasties.
