The Jinggangshan national azalea exposition park laid a foundation to start construction in the Jinggangshan scenic spot on April 15, 2012. With a planned investment of 35 million yuan, 11 garden units in Jiangxi province will be invited to co-build the exposition park. It is expected to be open to the public in April of 2013.

Located in the original Dajing Leader Peak scenic spot, the national azalea exposition park covers a planned area of 29 hectares. This construction project will put its construction focus on azalea, the red history of the Jinggangshan mountain, and local conditions and customs.

The park is planned to consist of a revolutionary martyr exhibition park, a great man statue area, a national sister city exhibition exchange area, a park for small-scaled Jiangxi landscapes, a rare azalea planting area, an exhibition garden, a forested park, a parking area and a rest area.

The 13th China Azalea Expo is going to be held in Jianggangshan in 2013, when high quality azaleas from the country are gathered there. As a new tourist spotlight, The Jinggangshan azalea exposition park will become a national professional park for recreation. It will also serve as a window to show the beautiful scenery and history of the Jianggangshan Mountain.
