Dieshiqiao international home textile town, located on the Changjiang river delta, has convenient transportation. This home textile town lies south of Nantong container port and east of Haimen, which is close to the exit of the Nangtong-Qidong highway, to the west of Nantong airport. The Suzhou-Nantong Bridge currently under-construction will reduce the journey time to Shanghai to an hour.

Dieshiqiao international home textile town was constructed in 1982. 500 million yuan has been invested in it. Until now, the market trading area stretches to almost 300,000 square meters. There are nearly 6,000 textile shops and business rooms and more than 200 specialize in embroidery. Textile production has been sold to more than 200 cities and some other countries including South Africa, Romania, and Argentina. Trading reached seven billion yuan in 2003. Dieshiqiao international home textile town sales came in in fifteenth place in China according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics and All-China Federation of Industry & Commerce. Dieshiqiao international home textile town has become the biggest textile town in China with the most varieties and the highest trading quota of textiles.
