Innovation design competition of Ru porcelain to hit Ruzhou

The Ruzhou culture radio, film and television bureau in Central China’s Henan province held a meeting on April 18, over 60 representatives from local manufacturers of Ru porcelain and the inheritors of Ru porcelain firing techniques at all levels participated in the meeting.

A Ru porcelain innovation design competition will be held in Ruzhou, according to a decision made at the meeting.

All entries to the competition are expected to display profound meaning, beautiful design and a healthy attitude.

The competition will award two gold prizes. Each winner will receive 5,000 yuan ($799.50). Three silver winners will receive 3,000 yuan each. Five bronze award winners will receive 1,000 yuan each.

The competition aims to encourage manufacturers and inheritors to design and create more innovative works on the basis of careful research.

All participants of the competition should submit their works before May 25. The winning works will be collected by the Ru Porcelain Museum with a certificate of collection with the creator’s approval.

A Ru exhibition is scheduled after the innovation design competition in the city’s Ru Porcelain Museum, where distinguished works from the competition will be exhibited.
