Human figurines, specially shaped chocolates, industry moulds - all the products one can imagine can be printed at a newly opened 3D printing workshop in Zhengzhou, Henan province.

The workshop uses advanced 3D scanning and printing devices and a powerful data processing cloud, local newspaper Zhengzhou Daily reported.

The reporter witnessed a person being scanned and the data transferred to a computer, before a 3D printer produced a scale model. The printers can use resin, metal, plastic or ceramics to print any design.

This is the first workshop of its kind in Zhengzhou. Similar workshops have been opened in Beijing, Xi'an, Wuhan and Shenzhen.
