A foundation-laying ceremony for Ru Porcelain Cultural Park, a cultural park themed around Ruzhou as the home of Ru porcelain, was held on Oct 30. Li Xiaowei, Li Shengwei, Yang Changpo and Zheng Xuyin, municipal heads of Ruzhou, were on hand.

With an investment of 120 million yuan ($19.70 million), Ru Porcelain Cultural Park covers an area of 12,400 square meters, including a Ru porcelain cultural products exhibition center of 7,236 sq m, a research and development building of 8,605 sq m, a healthy diet cultural house of 2,118 sq m and a comprehensive building occupying 25,830 sq m.

The cultural park is expected to be a positive factor in promoting local economic development by promoting Ru porcelain culture and the Ru porcelain industry. A total of 500 jobs will be created after its establishment.
