Ruzhou government officials recently visited economically-developed provinces in East China to attract investment, achieving great results.

Li Quansheng, Party secretary of the city, led several officials to Fujian province, Guangdong province and Zhejiang province. They have reached agreements with companies for four projects and have attracted a total investment of about 3 billion yuan ($374 million).

Meanwhile, Wan Ying, the city's mayor, also led other officials to hold talks with companies in other places.

Shengguang Investment Group from Henan province will spend 5 billion yuan in the pharmaceutical industry, the largest investment in the industry in the city. The investment will be carried out in three phases, separately, of 600 million yuan, 1.8 billion yuan and 2.6 billion yuan. The investment will be completed before 2016.

The sum of money will be put into the construction of medicine logistics, medical and healthcare equipment projects, and adhesive products projects. The projects will be able to offer working positions for about 6,000 people once completed.

Kaide Group of Hong Kong and Jujiang Group of Zhejiang province will also invest altogether 3 billion yuan for the construction of the Ru Porcelain Cultural Park in the city. It will be a comprehensive project featuring porcelain showcase rooms, collection, appreciation and auctions. Business streets, museums and workshops about porcelain culture will also be an important part of the park.
