Yang Zhaohua, member of the Ruzhou people’s congress, a cadre and Party secretary of Xiaotun town, gave an interview recently. He said: “The government work report given by Mayor Wan Ying was quite practical in summarizing last year, analyzing current situations and deploying work. It is a programmatic document directing this year’s government work. The government work report pointed out the development direction for Xiaotun town this year and put forward new requirements.”

As a populous, industrial and strong economic town in Ruzhou, Xiaotun town has transformed its development pattern under the leadership of the Ruzhou government. Yang Zhaohua said that Xiaotun has achieved improvements in both economic growth and county construction. Scalable industrial output value in Xiaotun in 2012 was 13 billion yuan ($2 billion). Fixed investments were 1.2 billion yuan ($200 million). Investment attraction totaled 792 million yuan ($127 million), and the local fiscal revenue was 114 million yuan ($18 million). Rural net per capita income was 10,846 yuan ($1,744), ranking first in the comprehensive strength of villages and towns in Pingdingshan.

Yang said that leaders and people’s congress members should implement Ruzhou’s conference spirits seriously and make major strategic deployments practicable. Xiaotun town will seize the opportunities and develop rapidly and scientifically, working to be at the forefront of economic growth and social development. In order to realize this goal, specific measures will be taken. Work and cadres should be administrated by institutions to guarantee development and create social integrity.
