Ruzhou paid job subsidies to 477 special members for the disabled from townships and villages on the morning of Jan 29. The total amount of the subsidy was 569,720 yuan ($91,560).

Ruzhou established a team of special members for the disabled to strengthen and standardize the basic construction of organizations for the disabled. Disabled people have the priority to become special members. Personal files for the disabled were created to help them to solve practical problems in life and work. A basic organization network for the disabled was set up to fully improve the service of organizations at all levels.

Ruzhou enrolled special members for the disabled from 20 townships and villages to public welfare positions in 2010. They are assessed every year. A township special member can get 550 yuan per month, and a village special member can get 960 yuan per year.
