Recently, the Ruzhou municipal Women's Federation has innovated and improved "The Home of Women" in order to better serve women and children.

The Women's Federation strives to promote cultural progress in villages and communities through enhanced education and propaganda. "The Home of Women" acts as a mediator to improve the security of villages and communities. For example, Chengzhuang of Wenquan has set up a chat room to provide services for women. Mutual-aid teams have been established to provide help for both women and children in need. In busy seasons, the mutual-aid teams can engage in farm activities and in slower seasons they can form work teams to make money. "The home of women" can diversify womens’ cultural life and improve their ethical quality. Several of the homes have sponsored body-building teams and other colorful activities. In addition, many have taken advantage of their village bookstores to broaden womens’ horizons.
