Ruzhou stresses importance of people's livelihoods

Ruzhou pays special attention to "people's livelihoods" to guarantee and improve the condition of living for residents. This way, the security of locals and their happiness index will gradually rise.

Li Quansheng, secretary of the Ruzhou Municipal Party Committee, stated that making people live a better life is as important as developing the economy. It will maintain social fairness and increase financial security.

Ruzhou set up funds for disadvantaged groups to improve their social security standard. Until now, 4,860 people and 15,511 laid-off workers have been arranged. Those who were laid off will get small-sum guaranteed loans which accumulates to about 103.40 million yuan. Around 1,0729 urban residents entitled to basic living allowances. Roughly 3,7187 urban residents are entitled to basic living allowances where the given minimum living fund was 18,498 thousand yuan and 34,728 thousand yuan respectively in 2011. Laid-off workers were given 12,010 thousand yuan and 2,311 laid-off workers were guaranteed living.
