Ruzhou builds international hot spring tourism resort

On the morning of Nov 1, construction of Tianze Sunshine Hot Spring International Tourism Resort continued in full swing. With an investment of 2.6 billion yuan ($409.76 million), the project is located at the foot of Luanjia Mountain, Wenquan town, Ruzhou city, central China’s Henan province.

The construction commenced on Oct 20. Ruzhou city is making the project a priority.

The resort sits in western Wenquan town, covering an area of 180 hectares. The first stage of the project, occupying 51.47 hectares, has attracted an investment of 1.2 billion yuan.

In recent years, to construct the high-grade hot spring tourism resort, Wenquan town has invested 10 million yuan to upgrade roads, water and power supply facilities. The town has basically formulated a frame featuring five east-west roads and three north-south roads.

It is striving to construct a provincial level tourism resort. It has mapped out a parking lot and several toilets. It has set up a tourist service center, installed tourism guideboards and scenic walls.

All these efforts have laid a solid foundation for the town to build an international hot spring tourism resort. To date, the town is home to 30 medical treatment and recuperation facilities, including Henan Provincial Worker’s Hot Spring Sanatorium, Ruzhou No 3 People’s Hospital, and Natural Hot Spring Guesthouse. They are capable of hosting two hundred thousand people each year.

To take full advantage of the hot spring, Ruzhou city has actively attracted investors. In addition to Tianze Sunshine Hot Spring International Tourism Resort, the city has made plans, approved environment assessmentd, and earmarked land for a hot spring sightseeing and medical treatment park, worth 3.86 billion yuan. The project will go into construction soon. With these projects in hand, the town has expressed its vision for international hot spring tourism resorts.
