The first batch of the Song Dynasty-styled Ru porcelain came out of the first wood-fired kiln in Ruzhou city. They have sapid glazing colors, which appear azure and pink cyan. The porcelain has a very jade-like texture, very similar to the Ru porcelain found at the Zhanggongxiang relic.

In recent years, Ruzhou city has put a premium on developing Ru porcelain tourism. It encourages Ru porcelain enterprises to develop a culture tour, and has rolled out several tourism programs, such as the Ru Porcelain Firing Process Tour and Ru Porcelain Culture Exhibition.

Because it uses wood and raw coal as fuels, instead of the prevalent coal gas and natural gas, the rate of finished products is at an extremely low level.

Although only three pieces came out in the first batch, they are all quite exquisite items.
