2012 China Shijiazhuang (Zhengding) Northern Tea Expo opens

The 2012 China Shijiazhuang (Zhengding) Northern Tea Expo opened on Sept 6 in Zhengding. The expo consists of two exhibition areas that cover a total of 15,000 square meters. More than 300 tea stores from Northern Tea Town exhibited their branded tea. Over 95 percent of tea companies exhibited six brands of tea using delicate decorations.

The tea companies in the exhibition are all nationally renowned in tea production and art. Famous tea brands such as Fuding white tea, Wu Yi Red Robe Tea, CHIS.NDO, Anxi Tieguanyin tea, Guizhou green tea, and Qingliangshan Pu’er tea attracted tea merchants and guests. The Northern Tea Expo emphasized a tea art show, economic and commercial tea talks, and tea advertising. The central square of Zhengding market held special exhibitions focusing on green tea, black tea and Pu’er tea. In addition to traditional tea, other local, special tea cookies, tea sets and teapots were also on display.

The 2012 China Shijiazhuang (Zhengding) Northern Tea Expo also held a symposium entitled “Food Safety: Establishing Provincial Quality-Assured Tea.” The symposium invited tea experts, tea scholars and some related government officials to discuss how to make quality-assured tea and tea cookies. In addition, there were excellent tea art performances and tea art shows each day. The tea expo aims to advocate healthy lifestyles and promote cultural fashions. It seeks to encourage people to communicate with tea, associate with friends and create new tea cultures.

The 2012 China Shijiazhuang (Zhengding) Northern Tea Expo was co-hosted by the Shijiazhuang government, China International Tea Art Association and China Tea Marketing Association. It was organized by the Zhengding government. The tea expo aims to “carry forward Chinese tea art and propel northern tea trade.” It develops Chinese tea culture, increases northern tea influence and offers a good communication platform for local tea companies and tea enthusiasts.
