The world’s finest spirits went on display at the Sixth International Alcoholic Beverage Expo in Guiyang, Guizhou on Sep 9.

Nearly 2,000 well-known alcohol brands from 34 countries and regions will show off their latest concoctions and promotional campaigns at the expo, including baijiu brands from China, beer brands from Belgium and wineries from France, Italy and Spain.

The expo will run for four days and host a summit for world leaders in the wine industry and the annual meeting of the World Alcoholic Beverage Alliance. It will also award the top-ten alcoholic spirit brands from Guizhou.

Representatives from leading alcoholic beverage companies and organizations in Europe and Asia will attend the expo as honored guests, including Jean-Marie Aurand, the director general of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine and Ji Keliang, honorary advisor of Moutai Group.

During the world wine leaders’ summit, officials from the countries along the Belt and Road will meet to discuss multi-lateral trade and investment cooperation. Chinese government officials will also be present to explain policies, laws and regulations concerning the import and export of alcoholic beverages.

The expo is divided into seven indoor pavilions and an independent outdoor one, which will host a “global wine carnival” to allow wine chateaus and distributors to present their new products.
