Guiyang: Tough plan to control food prices during droughts

A drought has damaged agriculture in Guiyang. During the drought, the price of vegetables has risen, and produce quality has deteriorated.

Given the situation, the Guiyang business bureau, Guiyang agricultural commission and Guiyang price bureau held a meeting to stabilize prices and secure adequate supplies.

According to the meeting, more than 150 designated supermarkets and stores shall sell vegetables at prices less than 15 percent of average prices to guarantee supply.
