During the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Chinese festival celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month that fell on June 20 this year, the three men took part in a dragon boat race.

The other three US visitors, Cecilia from Mississippi, Hannah from Alabama and Kendall from Texas learned how to make zongzi (rice dumplings). They said they experienced an unforgettable traditional Chinese festival in Zhanjiang.

Despite the short time the group has so far spent in the city, they have visited many tourist attractions, including Huguang Yan World Geological Park, Donghai Island and Yugang Park.

Greg Bolan said the blue sky and the weather in Zhanjiang are very similar to those of his hometown. The city is clean and tidy, and he likes to take a walk with friends after dinner.

"Zhanjiang is beautiful and the air here is so fresh," said Benjamin Echelmeier.

They loved Zhanjiang's seafood immensely. They have long heard the fame of the seafood here and couldn't wait to try it as soon as they arrived in Zhanjiang.

During their stay in Zhanjiang, they also visited some local high schools, colleges and universities, and talked with local students.

Greg Bolan said that Zhanjiang will be his first choice if he chooses to teach English in China, because he has learned so much about the city and is impressed by its blue sea and profound cultural heritage.

These young tourists will fly back to US on July 20, hoping to visit the city again in the future.
