Lanzhou Drum Song (ICH)

The Lanzhou drum song is a popular folk art in the Lanzhou area, and is performed in the Lanzhou dialect. Based on folk songs from the countryside of Gansu province, it took its present form in the mid and late Qing Dynastyand was influenced by the folk art from Beijing and Shanxi province.

The Taihao Fuxi's Fiesta (ICH)

Linxia Brick Carving (ICH)

Qingyang Scented Sachet Embroidering (ICH)

People wear scented sachets, Xiangbao in Chinese, on the Dragon Boat Festivalthat falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, to ward off evil spirits. Residents in Qingyang in eastern Gansu province are no exception.

Glittering Night Cup (ICH)

The Yeguang Cup, literally "the Glittering Night Cup," is a special jade craftwork from Jiuquan in the province of Gansu in Northwest China. Jiuquan is an ancient town with a 2,000-year history.

Walking on Stilts (ICH)

CaiGaoqiao, orwalking on stilts, is another popular traditional performance of the Spring Festival, especially in Northern China. Cai means walking on, and Gaoqiao means stilts.
