Jinchang recycles industrial waste

 Jinchuan Co, a mineral company in Jinchang city, Gansu province, has been recycling industrial solid waste to improve resource utilization, resulting in 1.10 million tons of copper slag being reused , according to a report by Xinhua.

According to official statistics, so far the company has utilized 10,000 tons of white ash, 100,000 tons of inorfil inorganic fibre, plus other types of production waste.

The Jinchuan Co makes full use of the Jinchuan Nickel Mine, China’s largest nickel mine and the world’s second largest.

The recycling pattern of “resources-products-waste-renewable resources” reused 2.93 million tons of industrial solid waste in 2014 across Jinchang city, making the rate of utilization 22.65 percent, and earning industrial sales revenue of 400 million yuan ($59.96 million).

Jinchang city has the third most abundant nickel ore reserves in the world and is known throughout China for its nickel. It produces more than 90 percent of the country's nickel and platinum group metals.
