Zhangye draws 7.47b yuan of investment from Gansu entrepreneurs

Zhangye city, Gansu province held a business investment promotion activity on Jan 1, with 27 investment agreements reached, worth 7.47 billion yuan ($1.14 billion).
More than 1,300 participants and 40 chambers of commerce took part in the activity.

Zhangye city's government, the Gansu Provincial Education Department and the Economic Cooperation Bureau jointly held the activity, which was intended to engage more Gansu entrepreneurs to invest in their native province.
Huang Zeyuan, mayor of Zhangye, introduced his city’s favorable policies and said that Zhangye has many industrial parks but lacks sophisticated business experience and talent.
"We have signed contracts with Xinhuanet on cultivating more career-creating talent and expect to attract more businessmen," Huang said.

An entrepreneur by the name of Xie Jun said that he sensed the inspiring innovation atmosphere from this homecoming and he would make full use of his company's superiority in employees training and products promotion to contribute to his homeland's development.
Zhangye city's government signed strategic agreements with the Gansu Chamber of Commerce on the same day and participants were also shown around Zhangye city.
