2010-11-15

The Xi’an Urban and Rural Planning Supervision Group of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Construction (MHURC) inspected Daming Palace National Heritage Park on November 10, reported Xi’an Daily.

The supervision group inspected the protection projects at the park, including the Danfeng Gate, Yudao Square, Xuanzheng Hall and Zichen Hall. They spoke highly of the planning administration of the park. Zhen Xu, leader of the supervision group, described the park as “remarkable,” and said that the park reflects not only the characteristics of Xi’an but also the historical and cultural heritage of this ancient city. The protection projects present the cultural charms of the park to the public while also protecting the historical and cultural heritage. The supervision group said that they would further support the preservation of the park.

Urban and rural planning supervision groups have been accredited by the MHURC since 2006 to cities that implement urban comprehensive planning approved by the State Council to supervise urban comprehensive planning, the comprehensive planning of national parks, the protection planning of famous historical and cultural cities, etc.
