He Hua Meets with Korean Delegation from Samsung Electronics

Recently, He Hua, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) met with the Korean delegation from Samsung Electronics. The two sides exchanged views on topics of common concern including protection of intellectual property rights (IPR) and revision of Patent Law.

He Hua said that SIPO has been committed to providing sound IPR protection environment for Chinese and foreign enterprises including the Korean enterprises and attached great importance to communication and exchanges with the business circle. He Hua introduced China's IPR protection system to the Korean delegation, especially the administrative protection of IPR and the main content of the fourth revision of the Patent Law.

The Korean delegation from Samsung Electronics said that the rapid development of China's IPR career has caught the attention of the world. They hoped to strengthen exchange and cooperation with SIPO in the future to make a contribution to the development of China's IPR career.

From 2011 to 2013, Samsung Electronics has applied for 6,533 patents to SIPO and obtained 4,603 patents.
