Sanmenxia, Henan: Services safeguard pharmaceutical enterprises' power supply

Staff members from State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Co (State Grid Sanmenxia) visited Leshi Tongren Pharmaceutical Plant on Aug 10 in the Lushi County Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone to ensure reliable power supply for the enterprise's production needs.

Using the abundant medicinal herb resources of Lushi county, Leshi Tongren Pharmaceutical Plant specializes in the processing of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) decoction pieces and the manufacture of proprietary TCM formulations. The facility features three automated production lines for extraction, processing, and formulation. It is equipped with over 120 units of electrical production equipment and boasts an annual production capacity of 300 metric tons of TCM decoction pieces.

Critical workshop processes, including extraction and concentration, drying and processing, as well as purification and constant-temperature control, impose stringent requirements on power supply reliability. A stable electricity supply is therefore a vital foundation for safe production at the enterprise. Proactively responding to the company's power needs, State Grid Sanmenxia conducted in-depth inspections of the plant's power distribution rooms and production workshops to identify electrical hazards.

On site, the team resolved four equipment safety hazards, briefed the plant on operation and maintenance precautions under high-temperature conditions, and advised on scientific peak-load shifting strategies — thereby fortifying a robust electrical safety defense for the company's production operations.
