State Grid Suqian: Jiangsu-Anhui cooperation to safeguard households' lights
State Grid Suqian Power Supply Co (State Grid Suqian) and State Grid Bengbu Power Supply Co (State Grid Bengbu) jointly conducted a cross-provincial emergency power supply drill to test the effectiveness of the Jiangsu-Anhui distribution network interconnection project in ensuring emergency power support.
During the drill, State Grid Suqian activated the cross-provincial connection emergency mechanism, and State Grid Wuhe (a county in Bengbu) Power Supply Co responded promptly. The cross-provincial connection line smoothly transferred the simulated power outage area's load to the power supply line in Wuhu, Anhui, within just 10 minutes, completing rapid power restoration.
It is known that the border area between Suqian's Shihe county and Wuhe originally relied solely on a 10-kilovolt line for its power supply, and the power grid was weak. The two power supply companies jointly built a 19-kilometer cross-provincial connection line in November 2025, closely linking the isolated distribution networks of the two provinces into a ring network structure.
As a result, either region can rapidly switch loads in the event of maintenance work or equipment failures, ensuring a reliable power supply for residents along the line. This drill also provided valuable experience for future large-scale cross-regional power supply cooperation.
