Reliable power boosts traditional Chinese musical instrument industry
Amid a gentle spring rain on April 8, staff members from State Grid Jiaozuo Power Company made their way to Xiansheng Musical Instrument, a company in Taijian village, Wenxian county, to carry out a routine service visit.

Xiansheng has long focused on making and repairing traditional Chinese instruments like the guzheng, along with their accessories. Its products are well received both at home and abroad, helping spread Chinese musical culture around the world.
As production expanded, the original power supply could no longer keep up. The power company responded by upgrading the local transformer from 100 kVA to 250 kVA, resolving the bottleneck and giving the business a strong boost.

To better support Xiansheng's growth, State Grid Jiaozuo now makes regular on-site visits. Workers check power lines and equipment, spot potential hazards, learn about the company's production needs, and offer science-based advice on using electricity safely and reliably.

Xiansheng's head, Dong Zhiyong, said the company's continued success would not have been possible without the power company's strong and thoughtful support over the years.
A stable power supply has laid a strong foundation for Xiansheng. There, finely crafted instruments such as guzheng, pipa, and guqin are brought to life and go on to larger stages. They play the uplifting tune of rural vitalization while showcasing the unique charm and rich heritage of traditional Chinese music to the world.
