State Grid Sanmenxia powers mushroom industry growth
Staff members from State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company visited Jinhai Biotechnology on Feb 4 in Lushi county's Advanced Manufacturing Development Zone.
They examined production operations and electrical load conditions, helped identify and address potential safety hazards in electrical equipment, and gathered feedback to ensure a reliable power supply for mushroom cultivation.
Lushi county is a major producer of shiitake mushrooms in China, with an annual output exceeding 400,000 metric tons — about one‑thirtieth of the national total.
Jinhai Biotechnology is a fully integrated edible fungi enterprise involved in strain breeding, R&D, industrialized cultivation, and sales.
The company operates 140 mu (9.33 hectares) of production bases, 80 mu of deep‑processing facilities, 60 mu of bio‑organic fertilizer plants, and 12 standardized mushroom growing bases, making it a leading player in the local industry.
The company's technical director explained that their intelligent spawn cultivation facility uses automated control systems to precisely regulate temperature, humidity, light, and carbon dioxide levels — all dependent on a stable power supply.
He said that with daily production currently exceeding 60,000 substrate sticks, the periodic site visits from the utility have been essential. The power company assists with safety inspections, promotes electrical safety and updated tariff policies, and provides professional guidance on energy use.
Moving forward, State Grid Sanmenxia will continue to focus on supporting rural specialty industries.
Plans include accelerating upgrades to the rural power grid, strengthening operational management, and improving service quality to provide steadfast support for the sustainable growth of local agricultural sectors.
