State Grid Changzhou ensures uninterrupted power during maintenance
The Huacheng Second Village No 4 public distribution branch of the 10-kilovolt Suguo 143 Line was connected to the grid after five hours of continuous work in Jintan district, Changzhou, on Feb 3.
This marks the first successful application of the medium-voltage secondary grid-connection power generation technology in Jintan district, Changzhou, Jiangsu province, turning grid-connection work that once required the power to be shut off into a construction project that does not disrupt normal line operation, achieving a "zero-perception" experience for end users.
This project aims to upgrade the power supply capacity of the local distribution network and support the urban landscaping and development drive. Under the traditional operation model, a partial power outage of the existing lines would have been required, which would have cut power to surrounding supermarkets and residential communities. To ensure that nearby users were not affected during construction, State Grid Changzhou followed the standardized procedures for power generation operations. After conducting advanced surveys and layout planning, as well as technical analysis and verification, the company adopted a medium-voltage secondary grid-connection power generation system for the first time, connecting mobile power generation units to the 10-kV power line. The construction was successfully completed, achieving a "zero-perception" experience for end users.
"Uninterrupted power supply is the best service." The company will continue to explore more advanced technologies, improve construction models, strive to raise the standard of power grid maintenance and construction, ensure the safety and reliability of the power supply, and provide high-quality power services for all users.
