State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company: Realizes second-level generation of comprehensive shutdown disposal plans for substations
Xu Shengrong, a dispatcher at State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company, successfully generated a hierarchical disposal plan for the comprehensive shutdown of the 110-kilovolt Linhe Substation in less than one minute through the Substation Full Shutdown Rapid Conversion System on Dec 1.
Manual compilation of a comprehensive substation shutdown disposal plan typically takes around 50 minutes, and the duration extends further when accounting for contingencies such as distribution switch remote control failures and extreme weather events. In May this year, State Grid Suqian established a cross-functional flexible team to conduct targeted technical research. Guided by the core objectives of "maximizing power restoration efficiency and minimizing customer outage hour impacts", the team comprehensively integrated key factors including distribution network connection configurations, power restoration sequencing, and operational mode rationality to upgrade the Substation Full Shutdown Rapid Conversion System. The enhanced system enables real-time dynamic generation of comprehensive shutdown disposal plans incorporating hierarchical response strategies, with the relevant functional upgrades to the distribution automation master station completed by the end of September.
To date, State Grid Suqian has leveraged the Substation Full Shutdown Rapid Conversion System to complete strategy verification for the hierarchical disposal of comprehensive shutdowns across 155 substations rated at 35 kV and above, as well as the revision of peak winter operation plans. The average generation time for a single substation's comprehensive shutdown disposal plan is approximately 18 seconds, with a 100 percent strategy verification pass rate. Equipped with these reliable pre-formulated plans, the power restoration efficiency following a comprehensive substation shutdown has been improved by over 30 percent.
