Huimin Warehouse of State Grid Lishui Power Supply Company became the first primary production warehouse within the State Grid system to simultaneously receive the titles of "Green Warehousing and Distribution Enterprise" and "Three-Star Zero-Carbon Warehouse" by the China Storage and Distribution Association on Nov 24.
As the vital link in economic operations, the modern supply chain connects production with consumption. It serves as a key pillar for extending industrial chains, enhancing value chains, and building competitive supply chains. It plays a foundational, strategic, and guiding role in establishing modern circulation systems, fostering a robust domestic market, driving high-quality development, and constructing a modernized economic system. Against this backdrop, the simultaneous recognition of State Grid Lishui's primary production warehouse with two authoritative green warehousing certifications not only affirms the company's commitment to green development but also sets an exemplary standard for the industry.
To achieve its carbon neutrality goals, the Huimin Warehouse has implemented two core initiatives. In smart logistics for carbon reduction, the warehouse has introduced electric forklifts and new energy trucks for material transportation and handling, while leveraging the electric logistics service platform to optimize material distribution routes. Calculations show that these measures reduce carbon emissions by approximately 106 grams per kilometer. In carbon footprint management, IoT technology is used to monitor energy consumption and carbon emissions in real time across warehouse operations, complemented by a photovoltaic power generation system to offset the remaining carbon footprint. These achievements have been certified by a third-party agency, resulting in "net-zero emissions".
To date, the company's primary production warehouse has received six green warehousing certifications from the China Storage and Distribution Association, demonstrating its commitment to corporate social responsibility and leadership in green and low-carbon development.
Looking ahead, the company plans to extend its green warehousing management model to various specialized warehouse sites and explore collaborative carbon reduction efforts with upstream and downstream partners in the supply chain. This initiative aims to contribute to the establishment of a green power ecosystem and provide replicable and practical models for the green transformation of industrial enterprises.
