Apple harvest drives rural vitalization in Weihai town
The apple harvest is in full swing in Chucun town, situated within the Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park. The sight of ripe apples signals a bountiful crop that has already helped surrounding villagers increase their income by over 500,000 yuan ($70,000).
Chucun's success is largely due to the integration of cutting-edge digital technology. Farms in the area have adopted intelligent sorting systems, optimizing efficiency and ensuring exceptional quality control. These systems precisely classify apples by size, color, and appearance, ensuring consistent, high-quality products.

Thanks to these advanced agricultural practices, farms in Chucun town are achieving impressive yields. For instance, Qingwang Farm produces up to 3,250 kilograms of apples per mu (0.067 hectare).
This technologically-driven harvest not only meets consumer demand but also plays a crucial role in boosting local incomes, stimulating regional economic growth, and driving ongoing efforts to revitalize rural communities. (Edited by Hu Kaili)
