Weihai hi-tech park named pilot for SME digital transformation in Shandong

Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park has been selected as one of Shandong province's first pilot zones for small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) digital transformation. This distinction places the park among only five other districts and counties across the province chosen for this initiative. The designation highlights areas with strong industries, distinctive competitive advantages, robust innovation systems, and significant potential for digital upgrading.

As a pilot zone, Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park will lead initiatives to accelerate the digitalization of SMEs. Key measures include providing digital assessments, implementing targeted upgrades, and creating model application scenarios to illustrate the benefits of digital transformation. A dedicated service platform will support these efforts, while digital talent training, technical exchanges, and performance evaluation programs aim to enhance both enterprise capabilities and industry-wide knowledge.

The initiative also promotes the development of digital brands and fosters innovation across the industrial value chain, ensuring collaboration between large, medium, and small enterprises.
