Weihai hi-tech park upgrades seven key roads, improving urban mobility
Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park has completed major road upgrades this year, resurfacing seven municipal roads to improve traffic flow, safety, and the overall urban environment. The project was carefully planned in phases to minimize disruption, restoring a total of 8.5 kilometers of roadway and laying 155,000 square meters of new asphalt across Huoju Road, Fushan Road, Guzhai East and West roads, Changchun Road, Yuanyaodun Road, and Xihe North Road.

One of the most notable improvements was on Huoju Road. Previously marked by uneven surfaces and patchwork sections left after pipeline reconstruction, the 3.7-kilometer route has now been fully resurfaced. Crews carried out deep repairs on damaged areas and applied precision leveling to ensure a smoother, safer ride for daily commuters.
Local authorities report that the upgrades have strengthened the district's transport network and given the surrounding urban landscape a refreshed look. Residents are already enjoying shorter travel times and improved driving comfort.
With the resurfacing campaign now complete, the park plans to sustain this progress through routine inspections and timely repair work, aiming to maintain road conditions and support the area's continued growth. (Edited by Hu Kaili)
