Weihai-based TonsLoad Power Tech has been named to Shandong's 2025 key industry corpus program, according to a recent announcement from the Shandong Department of Industry and Information Technology. Based in the Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park, the company will lead a project aimed at building a multimodal, full-chain corpus for the discrete electronics manufacturing sector—an effort intended to strengthen the foundations of AI-driven industrial transformation.

High-quality corpora are increasingly seen as essential for the next stage of industrial intelligence, providing the structured data needed to develop, train, and refine advanced industry models. TonsLoad Power's project addresses long-standing challenges in the field, such as fragmented datasets, inconsistent formatting, and limited annotation. By integrating diverse data sources and applying comprehensive governance, the initiative seeks to produce a secure, world-class corpus that supports a wide range of applications in R&D, production, quality control, and operations.

The planned corpus is expected to fill a major gap in the industry while also advancing the company's own "AI+" strategy, laying the groundwork for its transition from basic digitalization to deeper, scenario-driven AI adoption.

The Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park plans to use this momentum to further strengthen data integration, expand industrial internet applications, and promote collaboration across the manufacturing supply chain. These steps aim to deliver stronger digital capabilities and drive high-quality regional growth. (Edited by Hu Kaili)
