Weihai hi-tech park accelerates housing renovation projects
In Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park, significant progress is being made on the renovation of four key communities — Beishan, Fenghuangshan, Zaoshan, and Hengshan. This initiative, covering six villages, is a crucial part of the city's broader effort to improve living conditions and foster integrated urban-rural development.
The project involves the construction of 64 new residential buildings across 525,000 square meters, providing modern homes with upgraded facilities and public infrastructure. Upon completion, these new homes will offer residents safer, more comfortable living spaces, while also addressing the needs of Weihai's growing population.

Beyond updating buildings, the initiative aims to rejuvenate local neighborhoods and enhance community vitality. Old, dilapidated areas are being replaced with sustainable, well-planned residential zones featuring improved public services, green spaces, and convenient transport links.
By combining infrastructure renewal with social improvement, Weihai Torch Hi-tech Science Park is setting a new standard for livable, inclusive development. The project is emerging as a model for how urban renewal can drive balanced regional growth, enhancing not only where people live but also how they live. (Edited by Hu Kaili)
