Inside the torreya workshop at Shangliaogang village, Huangtan town, Ninghai county, Ningbo, roasting drums rumble at full throttle and the nutty aroma fills the air. Adjacent cold rooms keep the freshly harvested kernels at precisely controlled low temperatures. State Grid Ningbo technicians move through the facility, checking every roasting machine, dryer, refrigeration unit, and feeder cable, fortifying the power link that runs the entire post-harvest chain.

Huangtan's torreya, grown on lofty mountain slopes for more than a thousand years, now covers 15,000 mu (approximately 1,000 hectares) and has become the village's "fruit of common prosperity". With this year's yield up 30 percent over last year, the company has moved its service window forward: scheduled line patrols, infrared scanning, and on-site audits of processing loads are carried out on a fixed cycle, eliminating hidden defects before the peak crush season. The result is faster, safer processing and greater harvest confidence for every grower.
